The fact that its this guy being sent instead of the actual DOJ line attorneys who would normally handle something like this really gives away the game.

[–] tylerkdurdan@lemmy.world 15 points 1 week ago

that would be todd blanche not to be confused with Trumps other personal attornies he has working for DOJ like emil bove and habba...

...we had levers to pull to stop this train, we didn't...

There is still one lever left that can, if only a hero emerges from the shadows.

They're not "interviewing" her

They're getting their stories straight

She has enough money for good attorneys, and probably has more judgement than Trump in choosing them. I'm sure she'll be prepared and able to defend herself.

I'm not worried about her getting screwed over, I'm worried about her being given an opportunity to cover for Trump and get an out for her crimes at the same time. Her having a good lawyer doesn't help that ..

That's exactly what's going to happen. An edited version of the Epstein files will come out that only includes Trump's enemies, and she'll testify that's exactly how it was and Trump never knew about anything bad. And his base will salivate and cream their pants. She'll get pardoned, and Trump will begin a witch-hunt of his enemies using her testimony as a basis.

10000%.

We better arm up.

Yeah, dark times, I keep expecting someone in the US government to stand up against this nonsense but somehow I don't think it's going to happen.

Her attorney and the guy they sent to interview her are good friends apparently.

My own crazy conspiracy theory? They're giving Epstein's whole operation over to her. Where better to hide the "non-existent" list? And what favor could she offer in return for a pardon?

[–] reallykindasorta@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I assume they’ll ask her to lie in return

[–] forrgott@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 1 week ago

That's certainly a possibility. I just think they'd rather get pedophile island up and running again.
