Not really feeling the insane vibe, but having a group of smart people, women or otherwise, on your side seems like a good thing to have.

Sane people aren't good in ectreme situations where scripts break down. Insane men tend to terminate thoughts with violence or rogan/tate/jones shit.

Insane women are the only choice if you're buying in bulk.

This comment made me think of my time in Iraq, and I would absolutely hate to have insane men or women with me. Dangerous situations need a clear head. I don't know where you get the idea that sane people aren't good in extreme situations. That's the only people you want in extreme situations. Like, I get the viking berserkers, but they're sane enough to know what their role is. They're there to get fucked up on shrooms and kill as many people as they can while the rest get away and they die and go to Valhalla. They're not actually insane. You definitely do NOT want actually insane people in any extreme situation. Despite fun shows and movies, you do NOT want a wildcard when shit goes down.

where scripts break down

Basically all of military training is goving you scripts for violence. They're somewhat limited in context.

And imperial war is maybe an exception; you're in a foreign place where your normal life is dubstantially displaced. You can't default to it. Unless you die or get injured, it's pretty hard to fuck it up.

I've been in an unfortunate number of violent non-war situations, and 'sane' 'normal' people usually have the fucking worst reactions that get the most people hurt.

There is no script to violence. It happens sometimes expectedly but more often unexpectedly. You want someone around you who can keep their cool and decide if violence is a necessary response, if that comes. With a wildcard kind of person, violence is often the first response, regardless of logic. Understanding situational awareness is far more valuable than psychosis.

Yes, understanding things and being aware of things are valuable. I don't feel like those corellate strongly to any group yet mentioned.

Calculated response > insane, not-giving-a-fuckitude

Crazy's not a monolith, dear.

And i find 'sane' 'normal' people can rarely pass for calculating or self aware when off-script.

Don't talk down to me, especially if you've never been in life threatening situations.

Never been to war, been to plenty of life threatening situations. Probably a greater number than you have, if you only signed a short contract to do imperialism. And I never had an army backing me.

I wasn't talking down to you, but i will be from this point on, even if i need to sacrifice accuracy to do so.

Sounds more like you identify with mental illness and are trying to push that off as a strength in dire circumstances, which it isn't. It sounds more like trying to stick up to bullies by playing the "I'm crazy" defense. People with uncontrollable emotions aren't effective in fights, negotiations, or combat.

That's an adorable interpretation! I'm sure you worked really hard at it!

Edit: does your parent know you're up this late? So cool if they do.

Those are like the wild cards. When the rubber meets the road.

I'm more concerned about 'ur'. That city fell apart thousands of years ago.
