Travel day shave.

[–] gcgallant@sub.wetshaving.social 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Traveling with the family can be trying. Hope it's going well :)

[–] djundjila@sub.wetshaving.social 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It went very well so far. Djunior is now almost five, so traveling has become less difficult. Also, it turns out that both Turkey and Kyrgyzstan are super child friendly countries to visit.

[–] gcgallant@sub.wetshaving.social 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's great! Yes, from five onwards they are much more self-sufficient. My kids (twins), at 35, still conspire to make me feel needed. (Neither actually does.)

[–] djundjila@sub.wetshaving.social 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

When you're Europe-dwelling kid makes you feel needed, I'd love to use the opportunity to meet in person.

Also, I'm hoping Djunior will likewise keep making me feel needed for decades to come.

Oh, the next time I visit Europe, meeting in person will be a priority for me. I look forward to it!

As for Djunior. I hope his journey to adulthood is fulfilling for both of you.

  • Brush: AP Shave Co. black & clear handle w/ 30 mm Tuxedo Fan knot
  • Razor: Stando Perun
  • Blade: BIC Chrome Platinum
  • Lather: HAGS - Apocalypse (YourShaving anniversary edition)
  • Post-Shave: HAGS - Apocalypse ASB
  • Passes & Info: 1 pass, head shave, mostly ATG & XTG

A nice night shave to get smooth up top.

I don't know what base this SE soap stick is in, it feels very much premium in all qualities but can't be used like a traditional soap stick since it's a soft soap. I usually scrape a top layer off, evenly spread it on my head and lather up with a wet brush. The scent is a nice woody aquatic, similar to AdG by Armani.

I now have the necessary stuff to re-apply some coating on the Perun and plan to do so this weekend. It actually shaves very great so it'd be a loss not to use it anymore.

I'm having a severe migraine, so I'm going light on the scents.

Sorry to hear about the migraine. I used to get them too. Somehow, I've aged out of it. Haven't had one in almost 10 years.

[–] PorkButtsNTaters666@sub.wetshaving.social 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I hadn't had one of this type for quite some time. I hope I'll age out of it as well!

[–] gcgallant@sub.wetshaving.social 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

A migraine's timing is impeccable. I once did a 2-hour technical presentation while having a severe migraine. I had a large trash can next to me in case I puked. This is one of those areas where getting old is a blessing.

[–] PorkButtsNTaters666@sub.wetshaving.social 2 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Thinking of it, it has been 10 years at least that I haven't had an aural migraine.

[–] BossHoggins10@sub.wetshaving.social 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Almost all of mine end up being aural. I had one last September and I knew it immediately with the weird colors and blind spots😩

The percentage of people here suffering from migraine is enormous - I'm starting to wonder whether there is a link between dispositions to migraine and wetshaving πŸ€”

[–] snooting@sub.wetshaving.social 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Migraines are the worst. I hope you feel better soon!

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

This was a shave test of a fully developed coticule edge on the Wacker razor. I went through the steps I take to evaluate a stone and took microscope photos of each stage. Although I don't say so, it actually takes me several uses of a stone before I start to get a feel for what it can do.
