Leading Republicans have long been convinced that they have a better chance to win in New Jersey, the other state holding a gubernatorial election this year. The GOP nominee there, Jack Ciattarelli, ran a surprisingly competitive race as the standard-bearer four years ago and has the support of President Donald Trump.

I hope all of the republicans that live in red-leaning shore counties remember that Trump and republicans removed beach maintenance funds when the time comes.

They never do. I firmly believe at this point everyone that still identifies as republican is effectively a lost cause. Even their dear leader being a massive fucking pedo seems to barely shake them.

The Commonwealth is overall an odd place. I once met Warner (Mark, not Jack), and he seemed to have no platform.

His platform is simping to corporate interests. I guess it’s better than a republican though. Oh we also have the folksy harmonica bluegrass Democrat senator.
