just a snack, nothing fancy. A bit dry for my own tastes but it was made to order.

Like biting into a whole raw onion and chasing it with a huge chunk of dry bread.

it would look a bit different if i was making it for myself no doubt ๐Ÿ˜‚

This is how they like it though!

I'd like this sandwich as like a quick snack to throw together. Onions are fantastic and add so much flavor. Needs crispy lettuce though.

[โ€“] sprite0@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

agree about the lettuce we were just out!

[โ€“] sprite0@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

I know those vegetables could be thinner but this is exactly how they like it ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Looks like it could use some mayo or other dressing.

[โ€“] sprite0@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

there is ranch on it but only a small amount, the recipient likes it dry

[โ€“] Kolanaki@pawb.social 5 points 1 week ago

the recipient likes it dry

This is the Walmart version

Knockoffs are sometimes better than the original, keep sandwiching

[โ€“] bathing_in_bismuth@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yoooo that looks delicious! I feel less bad calling this a knockoff falafel :) You are obviously a sandwich connoisseur

[โ€“] sprite0@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago

thank you :)

I gonna be honest: Falafel is one the coolest types of food we have.

Please elaborate "plant-based chicken". Those words in that combination make zero sense.

[โ€“] toomanypancakes@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It's a plant based patty designed to be similar to chicken

[โ€“] BaroqueInMind@piefed.social 3 points 1 week ago (3 children)

That sounds delicious as fuck, but we need new words than the dogshit "plant-based chicken", because that sounds wrong.

[โ€“] toomanypancakes@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Honestly I completely agree, i hate calling it chicken

[โ€“] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 1 week ago

Don't feed the troll, please.

[โ€“] OrteilGenou@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I call it simulated chicken, it ain't chicken in any meaningful way but it kinda looks like and taste like chicken. Synthetic or lab grown would be its own thing since it'd basically just be meat that was never attached to a sentient.

[โ€“] sprite0@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

toomanypancakes has the right of it, these are Impossible brand

[โ€“] BaroqueInMind@piefed.social 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

The "natural flavors" ingredient for the Impossible chicken patties is chicken broth, FYI.

[โ€“] sprite0@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

where do you see that at? Are you just spreading misinformation?

[โ€“] BaroqueInMind@piefed.social 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

It's literally in the ingredients list on the website

Looks like I was spreading misinformation- https://www.fsis.usda.gov/food-safety/safe-food-handling-and-preparation/food-safety-basics/natural-flavors-meat-and-poultry

But now I'm curious what it actually is supposed to be.

[โ€“] sprite0@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

i didn't see it in the ingredients list on the website at all it just said Natural Flavors.

I find you rude and unpleasant and i'm going to block you now.

[โ€“] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Wise move. They're a troll. โœŠ๐Ÿผ

No it's much simpler than that: I'm really dumb. Sorry

[โ€“] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 week ago

Which tells you that you could stand to read more, and declare less aloud prior to seeking that sense you're in need of. ๐Ÿ™ƒ
