At long last, I finally got my results for the Cursed Paper of Doom and managed to scrape through an H1 despite a shambles of a presentation - keeping my final score for this dragged-out degree to a low H1. Woohoo!!!!!

my white orchid is at it's peak, it's never looked so lovely, it's just a mass of flowers
Goodnight all. Got a 7am start, which means I've got to get up at.. counts on fingers early. Starting early because finishing early to take Miniest to a meeting at what will hopefully be her (and my) secondary school of choice. Sweet dreams π
Interesting new clothing shop(?) just opened in Bridge Rd Richmond. Called Infinite Apparel. It's sort of a subscription service for clothes. You pay a monthly subscription, and choose clothes from their racks - number of items depends on subscription size - eg $50 per month for 5 items and 1 pair of either shoes or sunglasses. At end of month you drop off or mail back the clothes and pick out new items to take home. They clean them thoroughly and put those items back on the racks for other users. Sort of a circular shared wardrobe.
Clothing quality is very high - natural fibres, well made and in perfect condition. The current stock is clearly skewed to the young adult male - say 20s to 30s who want to look stylish and wear a variety of quality clothing at a cheap price. Most of it is smart casual/casual. I reckon they're targeting office workers with very little closet space and who haven't the space/time/inclination/skills to do maintenance on quality clothing. Colour range is about half office-uniform neutrals, and about half brightly coloured.
If you're a standard size this might actually be a way to dress nicely at a predictable price without getting bored with your current wardrobe. Plus the laundry service of course. Short term business visitors to the city might also find it useful.
I hope they do well.
YESSS I have an excuse to leave the office today and will happen to be going right near the Japanese supermarket I've been so so so so keen to visit!
ooo, what are you going to get?
I'm not sure yet, I haven't been able to get into it before so I'm very excited to see what they have!
Some nice Japanese rice and furikake as a treat?? I could eat just that for ages. Pls report back, I haven't been to a Japanese shop in aaaages because I'm trying to use up all my existing pantry items
I've got like a million tiny things to do around the house and stuff
I will make a list tomorrow and just spend the day crossing them all off
I want to go to bed right now.
you are the best cat dad π½π½π½
Yep. No one gave 2 shits about the presentation. At least it's over till next month.
I've got a sore gum. I think it was from a very hard sausage roll crust. I'm salt watering, nurofening, bonjelaing and tomorrow I'll numb the cunt with booze.
gymed π¦Ύ

Captains log 634:
I wish I was at home but I need to give a pointless 10 Min presentation to people that don't remotely care about the topic.
Lame.
I had the opportunity to see Ozzy and his band play live in the 90βs. He was very energetic and sounded great. Other bands that played were System of a Down, Rob Zombie, Black Label Society, P.O.D, and Deftones. Many others I canβt remember. It was a great day and at least I got to see him play.
Was talking to workmates about Ozzy today - he definitely went out with a bang. Wish Iβd seen sabbath live

You think naked lee pace fighting ninjas is peak hotness then they give you Brother Dude abiding with his fat tits and the whole game is changed once more
If anyone needs an alarm clock that isn't their phone, please take my dog.
Seeing as I was the only one in the house this morning as my parents start work at 7, the dog did his whole bark and growl thing, and started walking on me. π
My old hound used to shove his cold nose into my elbow at wake up time. Never missed waking me up.
Got 10 people from BFF interested in some kind of craft night, so hopefully that means I can get a couple of people to actually meet in person! I am not getting my hopes up too high though.
Joined a gym and omg the amount of technology there. I think Iβll actually go.
Iβm not able to stop napping π΄
Melbcat seems pretty happy though. Yesterday she was playing with her toys and smooching a visitor π₯°
Tax done π₯
I wish I had all the info to do mine. I have some ETFs (investment funds) and it takes them a few months to do all the end of year accounting so I have to wait. I'm expecting a decent refund so I'd really rather get it done and have the money back in my pocket sooner.
Explorer socks. Furry side in or furry side out?
It's never even crossed my mind to wear them furry side out. I guess you could, but I reckon it'd be less comfy.
Finally got my bike fixed after two weeks without. Looking forward to a commute where I'm not stuck behind a string of cars the whole way.
But first, coffee on the couch and then a chilly dog walk.
yay, today's big errands are done
Went for a check up and I don't need driving glasses. I have better than normal distance vision. ππ
a few more things on my to do list and then I can rest
I am jealous, I definitely need glasses for driving. Or walking. Or sitting. Basically my vision sucks at all distances, so if I am doing anything that involves my eyes being open I need glasses.
hugs , you don't need glasses for hugs π«
my near vision is slowly getting worse, it's not too bad , I can read but it's a little unclear , so I'm ordering new reading glasses next week
guys at broadbents bemused and somehow suspicious I would be unable to drag 60kg of paving sand down a hill on a trolley. Why, I have no idea. I am not a small woman. I'm built like a fucking mack truck.
sand now in back yard waiting pavings.
Japanese supermarket adventures update: I was toooo keen and went before any of the fresh sushi or hot food was available, but there was still cute things to check out. They had beautiful plates and bowls! Came out with furikake (thank you for the suggestion, Kitten!), miso soup, my favourite Pretz sticks. Already planning on going back when I'm on leave so I can try their sushi.
Enjoy! Hope you like the furikake, it's great on freshly steamed rice π
Goodnight all β€οΈ
