For me, if the dude just owned it and said I blew it but some things were out of my control like the COVID year. Nebraska fans would have more than likely forgiven and forgotten.

But the fact that he takes zero accountability, refuses to mention Nebraska by name and claims he never wanted to leave UCF., I call fucking bullshit!! He said Nebraska was his dream job when he got here, the dude does not accept responsibility, he's like most Trump supporters in this fucking state who are ok with him diddling kids

Vol here, so outside looking in perspective. But I'd guess it's a coping mechanism. I think that getting fired from your alma mater has to hurt even more than getting fired, especially when talking about a program as storied as big red

The thing is he's never acted accountable even when he was here
