If that's the case, you dont do the thing that makes it look like you're a monster. Just like with innocent until proven guilty, the moral thing to do is to be sure we dont harm the innocent. If it even looks like you are, you are over the line. The alternative is a step toward authoritarianism. We decided when we formed this country thats the wrong direction, and these are the correct tradeoffs. Anyone arguing otherwise should not be allowed to fly the American flag, with a blue line or otherwise.
