I've literally never heard of a chess pie or a whoopie pie.

They are very American things. Chess pie is a very southern American thing, essentially a custard pie with cornmeal added. Whoopie pie is not an actual pie but two small chocolate cakes used as bread and icing in the middle. A bit of stretch to make the category work.

I kinda want them to add a timer like for the mini crossword. But sometimes it would run for hours on trickier puzzles.
