Not sure how many we have this week, but it was 40-something last week.

In this week's shenanigans, someone had two 50 pound sacks of food a little too close to the one enclosure and both were torn open and scattered everywhere!

We need to be vaccinated on rabies to work with them, and all but one person with the shots had called out, so they were stuck caring for all of them by themselves and then cleaning up all the mess!

Last week, they broke a door and 7 of them escaped the first level of fencing. This is why we have multiple levels of defense!

These rascals are always up to something. I'm going to have to figure out how to get the shots so I can help out next year.

They don't have a GoFundMe, but they do have a lot of other things!

  • Cash donation through Zeffy
  • Amazon Wishlist (usually a lot of variety of equipment here, from $5 to $5000, but here is the raccoon (aka. dog) food that they get along with their fruits and veggies)
  • RodentPro (frozen prey animals)
  • Mazuri (not sure what we get from here, but a lot of stuff for exotics)
  • Chewy (general animal supplies)

Ooooo! No one ever helps us as we're not as cute as the animals! 😅

They send out notifications every so often when a discount clinic comes up, but the last one was so far away it would have eaten up all the savings even though it was a tremendous deal. It's 3 shots a couple weeks apart, so it would have been an 8 hour round trip each time plus whatever to stay overnight and all that. It's around $1000 for the shots. I wanted to see how I liked working there before I shelled out that amount! All these raccoons and skunks and foxes and bats are so cute though!

I don't know, I bet if you posted exactly what you did above with some pictures of the darlings, someone may donate! Maybe not, but maybe so. But I'd check with the director, obvs.

I'm thankfully to be at a point where I can make the investment. I'd rather you guys take care of your local wildlife first, then my rescue, and after that if you still have too much money left you don't know what to do with, theeeeen you can give me some. 😇

I'm here to give to you guys and inspire you to take care of your local critters and then others around the world.
