My first (real) pixel art. I wanted to start with the limitation of monochrome to see if I could make something semi recognizable.

That's really nice! Especially for a first attempt

If I can make one suggestion, courtesy of watching a lot of Bob Ross: the light hitting the water on the moon should show clear horizontal lines thanks to perspective. It's close to right, but there's just enough noise in what you've got that my eyes can't read it quite right.

Otherwise, great job!

Thanks! Yeah, I rushed that part. The dithering was doing my head in, and all I see is the imperfections in the dithering that prevents me from seeing the full picture

I absolutely love 1-bit art. This is awesome!

Superb stuff! The dithered shading on the robot really makes it pop with dimension!

(Or is it an observatory? The black hole at the base could be an entrance, but I was second guessing myself since the scale of the grass would make it very small. Perhaps an entrance for an advanced species of intelligent lemmings who learned not to dive off cliffs? 😄)

Haha. It's meant to be an observatory indeed. 320 x 240 doesn't really lend itself well to scaled grass in monochrome. It's what it is
