I finally gained access to my password manager using a combination of a VPN into my house, opening up Proxmox in a browser, and using a Remote Desktop to access it from a browser that is already authenticated. I was able to disable 2FA from the settings there, allowing me access from my new phone.
I was able to sort of remember my shaves since last Wednesday so I put them in the database. Feels good to be logged in and caught up.
We travel home today so this is the end of the tour for the greatest travel razor ever! Any Micromatic is excellent because you can turn the blade around so it’s safe to pack in a suitcase without slicing any probing fingers at the airport. It also keeps it safe from kids between shaves.

I never thought of turning the blade around. Excellent Idea! (And, any razor called the Flying Wing better be top of the list for travel razors 🤣)
You just have to make sure to put in checked luggage because of the Bullet Tip moniker 🤣 (not withstanding the safety razor aspect of things).

Jul 21, 2025 - Mammoth Monday: Almond Leather
Great scent. The almond makes it more of an all-season scent imo.
Absolutely. It's a perfect fresh, light-weight scent, and I'm bummed that it's been discontinued. After today's shave, my tub has a ring of death.
I'm a fan of many of Ben's scents but this one, Tobacconist, (Mood) Indigo, and Fú Dào really take me places. I managed to collect three of Ben's samples for Almond Leather. I'm currently down to the last one. Maybe he'll bring it back, or tweak it into another leather scent.

I'm sure that it will take more than 10 shaves to finish this tub, so I'll have to continue after AA.
Today's shave was one of those where I tinkered. I had the idea to see how light a touch I could keep; shaving my easy spots at my typical low angle, but raising the angle somewhat for the difficult spots. Worked like a champ! Why did I do this? Well, my thought was that in the easy areas, the stubble grows (mostly) straight out of the skin leaning slightly in the WTG direction, but in the difficult areas, my thought was that the stubble grows more at an angle from the skin, and not always in the same direction. For these trouble areas, the higher angle provides the same cutting relationship (blade to stubble) as the low angle does for the easy areas. So, yeah, I went full shaving nerd today.
Great edge, btw. I'm on good terms with the sharpener.

A great Mike's Monday shave, and an excellent combination of scents. The petrichor in Summer Storm really brought out the earthy/woody notes in Tres Matres. Very nice.
