I'll be off to the Azores in a few weeks. I've been looking online, but I can't find any English maps with scales that are usable for hiking (≤1:50k). The best I've been able to find are these:

  • 1:60k/70k in English

  • 1:50k in German

For you phone OpenStreetMap is usually pretty good with hiking trails, you can download the map in CoMaps/OrganicMaps, and there's Komoot for hiking specifically.

Thanks for your reply. However, I was looking for a physical copy of a map for this trip.

You could download the trails from AllTrails or Caltopo and print your own custom maps at exactly the scale you want - I've done this for remote areas and it works great, just get them laminated at a print shop for durability in the Azores humidity.
