What kind of synesthesia you looking for?

The principle is pretty much the same, regardless. Create a pavlovian association between the senses through controlled and continuous exposure.

I want to see music like kandinsky. how do I make that happen?

sound-to-color synesthesia? My hope is it's probably doable using a VR music visualizer. It's far from done, but since I'm tone deaf, I was playing around in unity with a fast Fourier transform microphone script tied to a haptic vest. Lower notes vibrate down in the gut, higher notes towards the head. The plan is to tie into an external chakra visualization for the colors.

take psychedelics. I find that my senses melt into each other, which includes "seeing music". I'm sure real synesthesia is different, but in an extremely suggestible waking dream any sensory input is integrated into the rest of the vision/dream experience. Like how while asleep, the sound of your alarm going off might become an annoying noise in your dream. On shrooms I have had vivid closed-eye visuals of cloudscapes corresponding to music, on acid I've had that and also much more intense experiences.

You can fuck yourself up mentally though. For me they are not really a plaything anymore. Start with a small dose of shrooms and a trip sitter.

if youre too old to know Rez you must be the oldest person here. i do wonder what the age demographics are here.

[–] 2Password2Remember@hexbear.net 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

bruh I'm 30, in my head rez is a dubstep artist. I think the age demographics here are 90% 25 or younger but that's just based on vibes, nothing empirical

gotcha, so it's more like too young to know Rez. But yea, Rezz is also a dubstep/bass music artist.

too young to know what rez is

too old to know how to spell rezz correctly

just old enough to embarrass myself on hexbear dot net

Right combination of acid and whippet hitting frequency will get you partial synesthesia

You don't want to know how to get the full thing
