A way to see 3D images without special screens or glasses. Just cross your eyes to overlap the two images.

Posting on Crossview

This is a community for posting or discussing 3D images using the crossview technique. There are other communities for viewing 3D on your screen including the Parallel View technique, one for Wigglegrams and also one for Anaglyph 3D using red/blue glasses.

Keep it fun.

Let's get this community more active! Having just discovered this and the parallel view community, hopefully we can get a more consistent stream of these images coming in! Also, I'm not sure how to make my gifs auto-loop. Any ideas?

This seems like it could actually be helpful in visualizing models like this.

It's also possible to have two viewports on screen of the same scene, allowing for pan-and-zoom. (I've seen this implemented... In a spot the difference game that I was cheating by using parallel view.)

Yep! This is one of the core functionalities of jmol. Very useful for visualizing proteins, crystal lattices, complex organics & stereochemistry.

I used to play with jmol years ago.
