But I find the extra quotes interesting:

Two sources told Axios the plan would include long-range missiles that could strike deep inside Russia.

Trump said Monday that whenever he speaks to Putin, "I always hang up and say, 'Well, that was a nice phone call.' And then missiles are launched into Kyiv or some other city. And after that happens three or four times, you say, 'Talk doesn't mean anything.'"

A bill circulating in the Senate would impose 500% tariffs on countries that buy Russian oil, but Trump suggested that number was too high and that he could impose 100% tariffs without Senate approval.

It must be super frustrating to deal with a politician who doesn't keep their agreements and never says what they mean. If he figures out the best way to deal with that I hope he'll tell us.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me three or four times, maybe I'll think about possibly doing something differently.

For everyone else it is just "2 weeks", but Putin gets 50 days? Amazing....

On the other hand, none off this matters anyway, because TACO. I would be surprised if, in 50 days, anything changes.

50 days! wow!

Why 50 days? Is that because he thinks the average American will have forgotten about it by then?

Russia will be no more as a regional power if they fight this way for 50 days. That will be the better half of 100,000 of Russia's healthiest most capable people they have left.

The global arms market has abandoned Russia because it is evident they have a disdain for the lives of their soldiers, there is nothing to gain or learn from a military that behaves this flippantly and carelessly about the lives of its soldiers.

50 more days will cement the global narrative that Russia is unable to evolve past mass terrorist attacks and condemning their infantry to hopeless deaths over and over again.
