July 14th, 2025: Flying Wing

  • Brush: Ever-Ready - 400 w/Motherload 30mm Synthetic
  • Razor: Micromatic Flying Wing
  • Blade: Personna GEM PTFE (2)
  • Lather: London Razors, Summer Break Soaps - Mountain Laurel - Soap
  • Post Shave: House of Mammoth - Santa Noir - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Dove - Men+Care Ultra-Hydra - Cream

Much better than yesterday, probably on account of the lather.

We plan on shocking our well with bleach today because it failed a water test. "Not potable" they say... sheesh! I'm not sure if I'll get to shave tomorrow, unless I go to the Rec Center and use their facilities.

That brings up a question... Yesterday was my 5 year wetshaving anniversary, and I think I've shaved every single day since then. Part of me thinks I skipped a day within the past year, but I can't remember. So if I skip tomorrow, that'll either be the first or second time skipping a shave in the past 5 years.

  • Brush: Omega - 10077 Boar
  • Razor: Chiseled Face - Legacy Ti
  • Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
  • Lather: Woolly Wash Soapery - Night at the Pub - Soap
  • Post Shave: Catie's Bubbles - Reflection - Aftershave

Been using this brush so much and it finally got that infamous crack that the inexpensive Omegas sometimes get. Still works fine.

Almost forgot to post today, busy day. I did a repeat of yesterday's shave, because it hit the spot.

Sextidi 26 Messidor an 233 de la Révolution, jour de Sauge: Bastille Day

It's Bastille Day, and I chose the most French setup I could. I don't have a French brush (but I'm thinking about correcting this), but all the rest (except Nivea) has been made here.

Have a good evening, and keep your guillotines sharp!
