I use it occasionally to fix family computer issues. I really like it.

Used this recently to help a friend out to get a game running and didn't want to switch to Windows OS to run another remote software.

Not great on wayland, super on x11 when tried on popos (current vs cosmic alpha). Waiting for my hdmi dummy to use my computer as a local remote workstation and server.

What issues did you have with Wayland? Didn't have too many(and btw, Waylands fault not theirs)

For some reason, it didnโ€™t launch. I didnโ€™t really dig into it since unattended access is not yet supported for wayland. I just went with x11 and had no problems at all.

Edit: I think this was on COSMIC which is in alpha. Could be the reason.

Currently using it on Fedora 42 Plasma and RHEL with quite a few clients without too many issues - the unattended access issues being the worst, multi Monitor clients being the second ones sometimes (funny enough only when the second screen is configured to the left of the main monitor).
