It's weird that most people asume when I talk productivity I'm talking about work and money. I'm talking about grinding for your personal goals. Ya'll are so stuck in a capitalist mindset that you think productivity could only be applied to your job.
Sorry, didn't realize you were the OOP. That show is more of the FIRE mindset than grinding for money.
I think the DoBC author was more hung-up on an extreme version, but the protagonist just got lucky the first time around, and is happy enough once he's back to not having to work his own hands to the bone. From there its more about avoiding even social interaction; He doesn't want his friends to need to come to him for money or bother him at all except on his own terms, and giving them the "grind-set" bug keeps them busy enough that his own true laziness doesn't occur to them.
