Admittedly I've kept out of the loop on this whole Musk Twitter fiasco. Could anyone ELI5 why Musk is trying to tank Twitter?

The app seems to be rate limiting but via a web browser i’m not having any issues.
I was late in adopting twitter and now find myself wondering if its even worth using at all...

what. the fuck.
As a non Twitter user... reading 300/600 tweets a day seems like more than plenty. I mean the times I've poke around I see what maybe 60 or so tweets then move on to browsing another platform.
And me not knowing any better this somewhat seems to make sense if you have bots that are scraping all the data for intelligence to use for advertising or AI development etc.
Shouldn't those bots have to pay since they are making money off data and let the individual users keep a free account?

That's backwards. Not wasting your limited time on this planet on a social media site should be the premium feature. I mean, you could do it for free too but almost nobody does.
