I guess people aren't all that familiar with the world of Cyberpunk 2020/2077 if anyone expected any type of happy ending. Cybering yourself inevitably leads to cyber psychosis, with no exceptions. Even Adam Smasher is rated as a "high functioning cyberpsycho", and may be unique in that category. Getting into a gunfight is rarely survivable, black ice will flatline you eventually, and brain dance addiction comes for everyone else.

The only happy endings you'll find in Night City come from the joy toys.

Cyberpunk in general is rarely happy. You might not die that day, but the world is still going to shit and you're just one step from tragedy.

Yup. Even a "happy" life is usually bought in blood and regrets.

It was perfect. Everything cyberpunk wrapped in a beautifully bloody bow. Cyberpunks dont get happily ever afters, choom. If you want that you should have thought before burning that chrome.

I think it was fucking beautiful and perfect. I'd pay for a continuing series that follows someone different every season.
