Serves them right, they deserve this for breeding such physically fucked up fish to farm and eat.
Them being?
Ultimately, all of us. The whole human race is at fault for the damage we've caused to the planet and biosphere. It's fucking shameful.
Silver lining though, over the next century the climate collapse we're directly responsible for is likely going to be the end of our species (and also most other life on earth, sadly. We humans really are the fucking worst) but, once we're gone, maybe something better can get a chance to evolve.
I don't mean to say or imply that you're wrong about blaming the human race for the damage that humans have done to the planet, but I do think it's much more constructive to consider the individuals in charge of operations that directly negatively impact entire species or parts of the biosphere directly responsible for their actions instead of what would seem to be an impossible target of "humans" in the abstract. It just seems like blaming this on "everyone" is akin to giving up on any possibility of fixing or addressing the issues at hand.
If we're doomed, then a hopeful mindset is, at worst, naive. If we aren't doomed, then a nihilistic mindset is potentially a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I'm well aware of my misanthropy and very unlikely to change, but you're welcome to have enough faith in our species for the both of us.
Think for a moment on this though.
Humans have been breeding animals and extracting resources from the land for millenia. These are human behaviours.
The modern age we're in didn't spawn from a vacuum, humans created capitalism, billionaires, conservatives, strip mining, oil fracking, animal agriculture, etc.
And there hasn't been a documented society yet that wasn't run by power hungry, rich and corrupt leaders.
This is how humans behave and organise themselves, we're like a hydra, you cut off one head and someone else rises up to take it's place.
So when everything we are is detrimental to our environment and each other like this, who can you blame if not all of us as a species?
