For the record, I'm not faulting Cloudflare here. I'm not a fan of them, but I do understand the appeal, and in this case, they're serving the greater good with this optional feature. It's the underlying reason for that which is where "Fuck AI" comes in.

Cloudflare is locking lower end devices and people with accessibility needs from the bulk of the web. The open web is shrinking every day and Cloudflare is the one eating it. AI scraping is the excuse they're using to destroy the open web.

There are other ways of dealing with AI scrapers that don't result in 100% of human beings having to regularly "prove" they're human.

If you can use it, anubis > cloudflare.

Is there a way to turn off the anime catgirl? Cause that's not how I want to greet my visitors either.

https://canine.tools/ uses a different model at least, so it should be possible. I'll look through the docs later to see if I can find out how.

Edit: As is unesco

Though I would say enough sites are using it now that I don't think many people would be surprised if they suddenly saw an anime character pop up.

I think you can replace these images with your own to change the logo.

To be fair, web application firewalls and log analyzers are a thing. No one really needs specifically Cloudflare to do it, and the downsides that come with it. It's just that it is very convenient.
