Is federation with hexbear or lemmynsfw broken? (lemmy.zip)

Essentially the title. I can navigate to communities on those instances, but they show no posts. Navigating to them on their respective instances they have plenty of posts. I checked and they are listed as linked instances and aren't on the blocked list so I'm just confused why they don't seem to be populating on Jerboa or on the web client. These are the only two I've encountered, but others might not be working as well.

False alarm. These appear to have somehow gotten on my personal instance blocklist. Maybe something I missed transitioning here.

Check your blocks, Lemmy.zip blocks them by default for new users.

Is there a reason why the Lemmy NSFW is autoblocked? I've heard some bad things about Hexbear, but is the other also considered a bad community?

Not at all, but it's a porn instance. I'm not the admin but my guess is that you probably risk losing new users if they're not interested in porn and their All feed is full of porn. I filter top/day when I browse all and in there it almost never comes up, but if I browse hot (heh) it's in there relatively quickly for me.

Is there an nsfw filter that's enabled? To my knowledge that's the default in most instances
