Another well slept hammock night. Slept like a baby after sauna and hot tub and ~ 02.00 BBQ supper: in the morning I woke up without having shifted or moved one bit – still holding the tin I keep my earplugs in :D

That looks like a lovely spot. Very tidy setup

Last time I tried hammock camping I rolled around a bit much. Had some mozzies biting through the hammock and the trees weren't ideal but would try again

Having an underquilt helps a bunch with mosquito attacks through the hammock!

Yeah, I imagine so. I was in Kakadu so it wasn't a desirable option 😄

The main issue was finding suitable trees without termites or green ants through them. Less of a problem in your beautiful lake spot

Have you tried using a hammock with an integrated bug net or getting a seperate bug net that goes over the hammock - total game changer for keeping those annoying mozzies away while still enjoying the comfort!

The one I have has an integrated net. 👍🏼

Just a fear I have, can't really explain it

Meanwhile in Scotland, I stepped into my garden for five minutes this evening and now have at least five midge bites on my face.

We got those too... First bunch of bites at the start of summer get itchy but luckily the body acclimatises and shrugs off the later millions :D
