I've been watching telly pretty much my whole life

and yet I still have trouble understanding so many tv shows or movies I see.

Like the Singing Detective. Over the space of years I had watched it 4 times and even read the teleplay. Only when I noticed Philip's different fictional narratives had the same themes did I figure it out.

Anyone else watch stuff and have no clue?

Dins round at my sister's place. Her adult son brought out some cadbury's marvellous creations chocolate for dessert. The cheapskate. For the first time in my life I've eaten fizzy chocolate. The actual choc was still cheap shit. I did quite enjoy the fizzies embedded within.

If anyone else is wondering whether their ceiling fan is set for summer or winter, it is clockwise for winter, anti-clockwise for summer.

Just swapped my 2 monitors over for 1 new monitor.. going from dual monitors to a single monitor is weird. Add to that the new monitor is curved and I've never had a curved monitor. Very weird.

Jeez it's crisp though.

I'll be honest, I'm just posting this to see how Boost is at text editing. It was my only problem with Jerboa. Seems good. Huzzahs!

Exercises were completed earlier and then we went to the beach. We love going to Altona beach (I grew up around there so it's familiar old turf to me and the kids love it). At the last minute, after a miscommunication between Mr Peeler and I, we ended up at Williamstown. It cost me $10 to park there! Apparently you have to pay at Altona too now. The kids and I usually catch public transport but Mr Peeler was coming along and he isn't great with PT, mostly refuses to use it and prefers to drive everywhere. The beach itself was as average as I remember. I stubbed my toe on a rock and fell over, grazing my hand on another rock. There were some sea creatures and mussels of interest to Miniest (it makes her day to see a little crab or two). Now washing all the towels and togs 🤦🏻‍♀️

There's some weird shit going on over at the other dt. So glad I moved over here.

I suspect this is a previously banned person with a new account. I vaguely remember a troll who worked retail and absolutely hated the customers.

It's so weird that's it's written in point form.

I subscribed to Aussie Enviro and maybe that bird I saw was an eastern koel. It has the spots I saw but also has the ‘eyeliner’ stripe out from its eyes that I got a split second glimpse of. It did have a loud piercing call (which was what caught my attention in the first place) but I’ve forgotten the exact sound.

Maybe I can buy some cheap binoculars and stalk birds through my bedroom window

Long ago peasants revolted against the emperor on this day and organised by putting slips of info in a mooncake. It is now about having dinner with family, looking at the moon, eating mooncake and seasonal fruits, and playing with fire.

Given yesterday's events, a mimosa and a ham and cheese croissant would go down well, thanks chef

My boringness continues.

I watched a video of a shell collection, again. It was very nice. And I watched a video on competitive jigsaw puzzling. 😂 I never even knew such a thing existed until a few weeks ago. It was both boring and interesting at the same time ( I kept yelling out better strategies ...lol )

Ted Cat came when I called and cuddled my hand. 😀💗😸

What a banger of a day off. I haven't been able to pry myself away from the city because it's just buzzing in here. Definitely a Melbourne city showcase kind of day.

Got on a rental scooter and scooted to DFO South Wharf, then went up along the Yarra to Southgate and switched over to the city side bike track and came back. Loads of people out so I did a lot of fancy slow speed maneuvering to finesse my way through the swarms. I dodged families, footy fans and a random furry. Impeccable day outside.

Scooted back to Docklands, installed my new phone holder and charger in my car and have driven out to Melbourne Bakehouse on Bay St where I currently sit at the street facing window seat with a curry pie, cinnamon doughnut and a strawberry Big M thinking about what to do next.

In G-town for the day. It’s nice here. Been so long since I’ve visited.

Ugh, nice day to get the greenhouse bed completed, but too warm to be hauling trolleys full of gravel about one-armed

Have to get up on the ladder just to check the gutters and things before the incoming rain in a few days.

Chatting to a few people over the last few weeks who've recently bought a house they all complained about water damage and gutters.
