Over the past year I’ve noticed heaps of WoW players switching over to OSRS. It’s not just a few here and there, it feels like a proper wave of people making the move and sticking around.
I know OSRS is in a great spot right now. Varlamore dropped, DT2 was huge, PvP’s had a bit of life pumped back into it, and the community’s still going strong. But I’m wondering why the shift now?
Is it burnout with WoW? Are people just over the constant changes and chasing new metas? Or maybe it’s that OSRS is simple in the best way — you can log in, grind something at your own pace, and actually feel like you’re getting somewhere.
I’ve been playing OSRS since release, and it just seems like more and more WoW players are giving it a proper go lately. Keen to hear from anyone who’s made the jump — what made you swap?
