rate my setup

I rate it "4 open blank terminal windows".

figured it was the easiest way to show the tiling without having stuff from my apps visible.

You've got to run a different Neofetch fork in each

why not fully switch to a tiling wm like dwm or i3

exactly what the other dude said, I still want a full pre-setup desktop environment I just also want tiling.

Do you use those window actions so often that you need to have them in your window decoration?

But yeah four blank terminals I guess.

Do you have any panels or a wallpaper?

default panel at the bottom with a couple small settings changed, default fedora 42 wallpaper. the terminals are just there to show the tiling and stuff without showing stuff from my apps bc the apps aren't the point.

edit: forgot the window decorations thing, I don't use them that much really but i put them there when I first started using plasma and now it feels wrong not to have them.

Your setup is a making me KDE-curious, again.

My rating: 4/4 blank terminal windows.

It reminds me of the Compiz days. There was a window decorator named Emerald, I think, that had themes similar to this. One thing that could change is the shadows when you're tiling. I would personally disable them. Preferably just while tiling.

ive thought about turning the shadows off but I can't really see them so it doesn't bug me personally. AFAIK you can't disable it only while tiling (bc the tiling script and the decorations can't interact with each other) but it is a highly requested thing on the krohnkite github.

meant for there to be a new line after rate my setup but it looks like you cant do that for this kind of post.

use tabs or split view instead of trying to look like a hackerman

[–] unknown1234_5@kbin.earth 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

i dont need multiple terminals, I just wanted to show the tiling without showing anything from my apps bc the apps would distract from what I was trying to show.

Haha. I would have done the exact same for the screenshot.

Plus, now you also have a cool hackerman screenshot.
