X-Men is also sci-fi, my jimmies are rustled and your doom is sealed, heathen

I'm having trouble thinking of a suitable replacement... Had Stewart even been in any fantasies other than the ones I have in my dreams?

Oblivion as Emperor Septim!

But not really. He was Merlin in a kid's movie and King Richard in Robin Hood: Men in Tights but looking at IMDB most of his fantasy stuff is voice work.

He's in The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, where he's the one dreaming about you actually. No wheelchair sadly

Edit: Damn, didn't comment fast enough

But as emperor he surely had a throne! So it works!

and then there's the little known schlocky action flick in which patrick stewart is a foul mouthed murderous villain in a wheelchair. also starring christopher lambert, mario van peebles, and denis leary. one of my all time favorites

What is it with casting directors and a hatred for Patrick Stewart's mobility‽

[–] solsangraal@lemmy.zip 12 points 1 month ago (1 children)

they have to balance his greatness with all the other characters' not-patrick-stewart-ness

[–] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 month ago

They dare not release the power of his fullbody acting ability!

History is Patrick Stewart playing Lenin sitting in a chair giving orders.
