What's going on with Boost not consistently hiding stories that I hide? (lemmy.world)

I don't know what else to say to describe this beyond Title.

Sometimes they hide, sometimes they come back. There is no apparent pattern to this.

If it is a network issue, can Boost please implement a queue and reattempt failed API calls?

I know that Lemmy is bugged out today or slow to respond... But this has been going on since I installed Boost so I don't really think it's a Lemmy thing.

Is it just the same story crossposted to multiple instances/communities? I don't usually hide posts but it seems like a silly thing to be broken for an app that has been developed for as long as boost

No it's the same post in the same community.

They will disappear, and then I will see them again later. I've visited them just to verify... same post, same comments, everything the same. They aren't new posts or cross posts or any of that stuff.

They just seem to come back apparently at random.

Edit Here's an example, I go directly into this community and things I hide again and again and again and again keep reappearing.

Try this: Tap the three dots on the toolbar and make sure "Show hidden" is unchecked

It's not the issue. I have and have always had stories set to not show once I hide them. Multiple uninstalls, data clears, reinstalls have not remedied this problem.

I don't know, maybe it's wrong for me to lay this at the feet of Boost, I don't know what's going on 🤷
