Pig! It's just a great movie.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I really need to watch that.

[–] fiendishplan@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I might have weird taste but it was so good.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 1 points 1 month ago

The lads at Redlettermedia loved it, and that's good enough for me.

Con Air, hooray for the sounds of fucking silence!

[–] General_Effort@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Honorable mention for 8mm. It isn't a good movie, unless you go for the very 1999 aesthetics. But I'll give a shout-out to that quote delivered by Joaquin Phoenix: "If you dance with the devil, the devil don't change. The devil changes you."

Fire Birds

“Shoot ‘em, blast ‘em, nab ‘em, grab em, dang gum, bang em, cook em, clean em, hose em, boil em, kick em, nab em, twist em, fry em, ALL GONE BYE BYE!”

I've seen this one long time ago and only remember it was quite a sad movie.

Wallys wonderland

He did not speak a single word, but cage beat the living crap out of some robots.

Imagine, my first introduction to this movie was that I passed out on the couch one night and woke up at 3 am to a scene of him slaughtering one of those fucking animatronic nightmares.

Valley Girls because Dottie's boobs.

[–] Revan343@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 month ago

Depends on my mood. Either Color Out of Space, or The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

[–] Zanathos@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Easily 'The Rock'. Nick Cage AND the final (non canon) 007 story all in one? YES PLEASE!

[–] ElderReflections@fedia.io 2 points 1 month ago

Bringing out the Dead, because I feel his tortured quest for sleep

[–] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

It's a toss up between Con Air's bonkers accent and Drive Angry's William Fitchner.

Finally!! This movie NEVER comes up but I absolutely love Peggy Sue Got Married (1986). Fucking classic and he's great in it.

Okay he's not the lead but he's like the main co-star.

Love love love this movie

8mm. So gritty and seems like it could really happen

[–] Obi@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 month ago

Dunno about favourite but I recently watched the surfer and it kinda hit a weird spot I didn't know I have. Was pretty good.

[–] PhaseLocked@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 month ago

Deadfall holds that place for me. His role is absolutely insane.
