This completely skirts the issue; that homicides by police are rising. Again. No need to focus on those who are mistaken about global crime rates when there are real-world authoritarian crimes.

Yes, I will look into adding some details because I think there's a lot of overlap with the siege mentality shown by some police.

Homicides in the country I live in are down, and so are homicides by police.

I don’t get why you say it skirts the issue. Media influences police officers and people who might want to become police officers.

Homicide is just a facet of crime. We’re constantly exposed to stories about theft, battery, sexual assault and all sorts of other crime as well.

I'd wager the crime rates for lower income areas have stayed the same, while upper middle suburbia got the nice decreases seen here.

would like to see these broken down by socioeconomic qualities...

mean world I guess is only mean if you're poor....
