Forgive me for being a Debbie Downer, but telling me a behavior is bad without telling me a proper solution does nothing but make me feel bad and not give me hope.

By the way, “go outside” is not a proper solution.

The meme implies the solution is to talk to people - asking for help isn't bad and it's not a weakness

If people had the kind of relationships where they could have the trust necessary to show that kind of vulnerability, they probably wouldn't be feeling the need to self-isolate. Sometimes, the reason you self-isolate is, you don't have anyone you trust enough to share your problems.

Yeah well what am I supposed to do about it lol talk to strangers? My friends are all dead or moved (well, still have a couple but we work opposite schedules now and barely can link up).

i mean, yeah.

think about what person around you feels most comfortable to approach and initiate some sort of contact with them, maybe bring them a small gift (home-cooked food is generally a good bet). Doesn't have to start big, just talk to people and try to get some sense of familiarity going. Hell just start by greeting people.

Humans are inherently social, it'll probably go better than you imagine.

Hello stranger, you look lonely and approachable, would you like some of my pocket spaghetti I made at home?
