This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".

Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.

Between Nightreign and the surprise drop of Lies of P: Overture, there's lot to play right now soulslike fans. What will you be playing this weekend?

I've just started NG++ for Lies of P to clean up the trophies needed for the platinum and to get a fresh playthrough in up until the DLC. Looking forward to it a lot - I've never bought a game or DLC as quickly upon release as I did last night.

Also mid-way through my NG+ run in Khazan, also for the platinum trophy. I feel like I might be a tad overleveled because most bosses are not a challenge at all. Though those bosses have mainly been those that I've had to practise in and out on my first playthrough, so maybe it's more so muscle memory vs. being overleveled. Quite weird to go back to Lies of P after playing Khazan for around 70h

Still playing Remnant 2. The final boss is dead and I'm in the post-game. There doesn't seem to be a true NG+ mode, but there's some "adventure" mode and boss rush options, so I'm able to go clean up side quests and NPCs I had not met before. Just reached an area that's like an old-timey asylum and it plays like a mini horror game. Having a blast with that.

It's tagged with "souls-like" on Steam, and while it doesn't really nail my own definition of souls-like from that recent discussion thread, it does have a dodge roll with i-frames. Oh, and my new build with claws, focus on crit damage, and crossbow is quite OP and fun to use.

I’ve been replaying star wars jedi survivor. It’s more souls lite than souls like but it’s still a pretty fun game.

I finished all bosses in Nightreign and would like to do some exploration but I don't want to beat the same bosses again just to get a chance for the lands to shift. So probably will wait until a mod comes along that allows me to toggle the maps so I can play what I want.

I switched to Clair Obscur for now, great game but not a Souls-like. It does scratch that Sekiro itch a little bit though.

Will play the Lies of P DLC once I'm finished with that.
