why is everyone so hung up on getting a remaster? is it somehow more likely than Bloodborne 2?

This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".
Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.

I think a big part of it is because Bloodborne is a fantastic game that is unfortunately bound to PS4 hardware limitations (for the average person who isn't going to pirate a modified PC version).
That and the fact that FromSoft seems to like to move on from projects and make new stuff. I'd love another Bloodborne or Sekiro, but I don't have a lot of hope for it.
Can confirm. I would break my Sony boycott this one time to buy Bloodborne on PC, but apparently my money is no good to them.

We don't want a remaster, just a 60fps patch and a PC port. That's all.
Just let it be. It’s a great game and doesn’t need to be made into a remake or get milked to death.
Enjoy it for what it is and be glad it’s a complete experience.
Absolutely love Sekiro but I don’t want to play another one with some far fetched and contrived way to continue the story. For what? Some nostalgia money for some CEO?
Games don’t need to be a scam live service or constantly be evolving. A clean standalone experience is enough.
