I dunno, this one was kinda lame. I knew it was about yoyos, but the board wouldn't even accept yoyo as a word-- I guess because it's technically "yo-yo" for the NYT. Literally the only one I'd heard of was "sleeper", and I was looking for words in phrases like "walk the dog" or "around the world", or even "shoot the moon". We're supposed to know "seasick" or "pinwheel" ffs?

This one's even worse. At least I could have googled "Mary Mary quite contrary" for yesterday's answers. I was utterly bewildered today right up until I used that last hint.
