Since the end of the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, bandits bullied people and goblins have been running wild in all parts of the war-ravaged Joseon, and corrupt officials exploited the people in the midst of confusion.

To save the people of Joseon, an anonymous scholar took action. With his bow and bag of arrows, he went on a trip for state exam.

Throughout history, Korean people has been well-known as the masters of archery.

During the Joseon Dynasty, scholars enjoyed shooting arrows to train their bodies and minds. There are several folklores about scholars who were on their way for state exams saving people form bandits and goblin with their extraordinary archery skills.

Seonbi : Scholar of Joseon is a roguelike game based on actions using bows, which incorporates weapons from the Joseon Dynasty with skills and items.
