Hmm this wefwef.app web app for Lemmy is pretty slick except it seems to be missing all of the formatting options when writing comments. No add image/spoiler etc.

Everything else about the experience is decent until Boost arrives. It seems to remember my comments sorting preference which is a win and the red line from top level comments is gone.

Edit: spoke too soon on remembering sorting preference. It reverted to hot from new on a fresh launch. It did remember it while I was navigating around within the same session though.

Good morning! πŸ€— Yarra City Council held it's first citizenship ceremony in Apr-23, after the feds lifted a ban imposed on the council in 2017 (political controversy). Does anyone know where the ceremonies were held in the interim or has this created a huge backlog? Thanks

from the Guardian Aug 2017

Instead, citizenship ceremonies for residents of the local government area, which has a population of 80,000, will be conducted by neighbouring councils or by the immigration department. The department will hold a ceremony in Yarra council on 26 January.

Family trip to the city today.

I love seeing my kids interact with shop staff. They're so friggin polite with a sarcastic edge.

Retail workers love them. Got free laces from a shop cause my son was vibin with the sales staff.

My contribution is leaving a super positive review on the shop website, praising the sales person.

Also love seeing eshay knobs scatter when I stare them down.
