The text drafted by Graham and Blumenthal proposes a tariff of "not less" than 500% on any country that "knowingly sells, supplies, transfers, or purchases oil, uranium, natural gas, petroleum products, or petrochemical products that originated in the Russian Federation."

Effective

So Trump is "crazy" for implementing tariffs, but then a bipartisan group in the Senate proposes even larger tariffs and that's fine? A 500% tariff on China (and possibly India and the EU, depending on whether they give in) is just not tenable, and now Democrats are signing up to and even upping the ante on this same stupid strategy?

And Trump would sign this if it passed?

Probably not, I would imagine it's more of a threat to get Putin's attention than an actual plan.
