moderate republicans are the sickest freaks of all of them. they do or say anything. they don't give a fuck. anything to make a buck. at least the hardline conservatives are open about their operating path

Republicans might also be banking on the fact that many of their constituents don’t know about the IRA. A University of Chicago and Associated Press survey last year found that two years after the IRA passed, most Americans had a supremely flawed understanding of what the legislation is and does, if they knew about it at all.

Replace IRA with pretty much anything, many Americans have a flawed grasp on a lot of society.

I'd be very curious to know the number of republican politicians who:

  1. Voted against the bill.
  2. Went home and claimed credit for it during their campaigns.
  3. Now have voted to repeal it.
