Or they could just fix the hot mess file permissions and sharing settings are. Fucking stupid that there are 3 different ways to turn on sharing.

There was a time when Foldershare enabled you to share folders across the internet without any Microsoft services.

Then they bought it and killed it.

no the special feature of this would probably be sending files to devices that are nearby, but not on the same network. localsend, kde connect and others can't do that, but it could be done with wifi ad-hoc mode or wifi direct
