Went there for a week last week. My first time. Very nostalgic, the trains are old undergound trains, they have retired TFL buses in service in Newport, the police wear the old bobby hats that ive not seen in London for years.

Worked on the Isle of Wight from 2010-2016. When I moved they still sold Golly-wogs on Cowes high street. Unbefuckingleivable. I’ve lived a great many places, quite a few countries, and all over England. It’s, to date, the only place I’ve been racially abused for being Scottish…

Don’t be sorry. It’s inherently funny. Fucking dada-esque masterpiece of a place.

They definitely have bobby hats in London still! This reminds me of going to Malta years ago, they had shipped all the bendy buses over from the UK and had British bus drivers running the routes and training the Maltese drivers how to bendy. It was a strange experience.

Ha, may take a trip to malta, without my bike this time, those bendy buses eat cyclists. Ill keep an eye out for the bobby hats, I havent seen one myself for a few years now at least
