Jail should be the compromise. Execution for treason should be the goal.

I would happily put my tax dollars towards having him suffer and rot in prison. Execution is the easy way out.

I dream that his prison is actually soundproof isolation with clear walls and an intercom and public access. So that at all hours of the day, he can hear us all mock him but he can't talk back.
