I mean they're winning money... what were they supposed to do? Do people not understand all code and software is human digital spaghetti? It's always just getting replaced with more human error and blind logic. All software can be hacked. Period.

Only because that's the available Linux distro this year (used to be Ubuntu).

Considering the rule:

A successful entry in this category must leverage a kernel vulnerability to escalate privileges.

It's not unreasonable to say it may affect other distros.
