This is pretty good! Discovered a new band, thanks

I had a lot of fun listening to this when it released and ultimately I rated it 7/10 aka "very good."

Not a notch below 8 for me

If it helps, of the over 1050+ releases I've rated I've only ever given four albums a perfect 10/10 score. 84 9s, 239 8s, 345 7s, 253 6s, 91 5s, 41 4s, and 6 3s (don't see much point is wasting my time on anything less enjoyable than that), so while I stand by my rating I think it's worth noting that my 7s are probably comparable to a lot of people's 8s.

Re: their last album from 2020, but an interesting read: "At this point, you might be expecting the customary engineer's ode to a talismanic, 32-channel studio centrepiece. Well, at Blank, there isn't one. "We haven't got a console at the studio," Sam tells me. So, everything is about preamp selection; picking preamps for sources. Over the past 12 years, as a group of engineers, we have had to go from zero. Like, we got five grand off the council in 2008 as part of a business development grant. And that's been it, really. But what that's done is forced our hands to understand every bit of equipment that we add to the setup."
