These fingernails really make me uncomfortable.

I'm not sure how many men are able to realize when something they're saying, or something a friend is saying, is making women uncomfortable. I think that takes a certain level of self-awareness that a lot of men lack.
I know that I do. But I'm also autistic, so reading social cues isn't my strong suite.
Uh oh, you posted feminist leaning content on Lemmy. Better brace yourself for a sea of dudes telling you that you are wrong!
I remember having that moment! Not with the gorilla but my friend treated women poorly, nothing physically abusive or nothing but he cheated on many of them.
I then told my friend, "yeah, but he's still a good guy". I mean, he was to me ... and if you're not in a relationship with him he's fun? :P
I kinda stopped staying friends with these guys. They're toxic to be around.
I even had a friend that told me he was abusive to his girlfriends and I'm like, dude I really think you wanna be the man your daugthers look up to. But he kept it going and I couldn't chill with him any more.
I did that once! It was scary, and I lost a "friend", but it was worth it
That being said, I'd never even try to fight a gorilla. If they picked a fight, I'd just resign myself to my fate
Either i don't have any friends like that or they know not to expose that side to me.
I'd rather die from gorila slap, than confront anyone about anything.
I've conditionally gamed my anxiety by making myself anxious about staying silent in certain situations.
It works, for the small, small price of greatly increased social stress!
Hey I used to have one of those friends
I haven’t had a friend tell me this, but I have definitely had those “d’oh!!” moments of sudden realization like clarity Clarence, where I think back to things I’ve said or done and how they were likely construed as by the other party and all I can feel is embarrassment. But it has helped me catch myself whenever I’m about to repeat these kinds of mistakes.
Throw a banana, then hop on his head 3 times. Boom done.
Treating a woman like shit? The ultimate "Beta" move.
Can 100 PugJesus tell a friend to stop making women uncomfortable?
Yes. Though I'm not friends with anyone who would intentionally make women uncomfortable.
