I know this comes up regularly, I don't need an originality badge to play or post one of my favourite bands ๐Ÿ™‚

First came upon these guys a couple years after this record came out. Blew my mind wide open, and I haven't bothered closing it since.

What an album! my older brother got me into them, and then Faith No More.

I first ordered this on CD because the mail order catalogue described it as "FNM singer's bizarre side project". I had wanted to buy "Angel dust", but couldn't afford both so I gave this a chance without knowing what it was.

Lesson learned: Always try out the weird side gigs over the main billing! The first three Mr Bungle albums are masterpieces. Can't say the same for FNM although their batting average is very good, too.

It's such a disservice that they kept referring to Mr Bungle as a side project. Patton was in that band before he joined FNM!

And by some accounts he ditched FNM again, still playing with (the recent incarnation of) Mr Bungle. So who's the real side project?
