What is imminent and already happening is the use of natural disasters and crisis as weapons of war by governments withholding or painfully slow walking critical aid, which honestly I might prefer just going to war because I think this is going to be far more brutal.

Would you rather be in a foxhole getting shot at or panicking as your power went out and now wet bulb temperatures are pushing your body into lethal territory and there is nowhere to go and no one to help...?

There is no WW3 that wouldn't simply be the final war of the current world civilization. There are too many countries with too many nukes and dangerous people at the helm. If this does pop off, the best I can hope for is to die quickly and early.

At this point it wouldn't surprise me in the least if there's a Vault-Tec or two getting ready for it.

There certainly are. Some of the wealthy are known to have built their own or have one in the works. The best bet is to get on staff and then liquidate the rich asshole if/when society actually collapses.

It's already started. Every Nation has a different opinion on when they believe WWII actually started. I'd argue we already are in WWIII
