Yeah, I always forget that Plex thinks it's an actual business. If it goes away, I'll finally switch over to Kodi.

Not shocked that the FAST model has unpredictable revenue downturns. But I was surprised to read that Plex has roughly 175 employees - that seems way, way higher than I would have expected.

You need all those employees to make additions to your code like arcade addons... then to deprecate them less than a year later... rinse and repeat.

Knew buying the "lifetime" membership would be a mistake, and forcing you to use an Internet login for your local media was another red flag. Glad I noped out

Love my Plex media server but I also have my jellyfin server set up just in case.
