My personal hack against this is to have todo list for the day, as long as I get enough things done I can sleep well.
Literally avoiding sleep right now for that very reason.

This is the crux of most sleep deprivation: loss of control. People stay up late because they want more time that they get to control. it's brutal because it's self defeating.
